And a happy new year

In my house, we proudly celebrate Christmas. We celebrate for the most obvious and honest reason of them all. The birth of Jesus Christ. We feel no sense of shame or embarrassment for this, as it is our belief, conviction, and identity. So if you share that sentiment, Merry Christmas, and if not, that’s ok, and Merry Christmas to you as well.

This season is gloomy for many people. As we wrap up our years and reflect on our wins, losses, pains, and joys, it can get pretty lonely. Take heart, we light up the night at Christmas to remind us that the darkness can not last. The sun will shine, and a new year is on the horizon.
